 CATI Training Systems Completes FSXXI CH-47F OFT X-IG® 4.1 Upgrades
 Ozark, AL., June 24, 2019

CATI Training Systems (CATI), a leader in innovative Image Generator and Simulation Solutions,
was contracted by L3 Link Training and Simulation to supply X–IG Image Generator for a
fourth CH-47F OFT Chinook Operational Flight Trainer (OFT) and upgrade of all three existing
U.S. Army’s Flight School XXI (FSXXI) CH-47F OFT devices from X–IG 3.3 to X– IG 4.1.
The CH-47F OFT4, was accepted and ready for training (RFT) by the U.S. Army in December of 2018.
CATI’s latest X–IG Image Generator includes up-to-date industry technologies, significant performance
improvements and the addition of an expanded library of content to include: more realistic blowing dust,
weather effects, models, and vegetation options. The existing CH-47F OFT devices entered service this
spring at the Warrior Hall facility in Daleville, AL. FSXXI was started in 2004 and trains as
many as 1600 new student pilots per year.
