  FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

CATI Training Systems, Delivers 3 X-IG® to APEX Labs for CAPTE-VCS Program.
 Ozark, AL., August 9, 2019

CATI Training Systems, (CATI), a leader in innovative Image Generator and Simulation
Solutions delivered three X-IG® Image Generator Systems (IGS) in support
of the Cockpit Academics Procedural Tool-Enhanced with Visual and Flight Control Systems
(CAPTE/VCS) Program to the U.S. Army Aviation, Advanced Prototyping Engineering and
Experimentation (APEX) Laboratory at Redstone Arsenal. The IGS will provide the visual
system for three (3) Cockpit Procedural Trainers (CPT): a UH-60M, CH-47F and a standalone
test system. The CAPTE-VCS is a highly effective and accurate training tool for start-up,
shutdown, on-ground and in-air emergency procedures. Now paired with CATI X-IG® for a
high-resolution out the window visual scene, the CAPTE-VCS truly provides the warfighter a
life-like training experience in a virtual reality environment. For more information,
please contact Vincent Hill, VP of Business Development.

About APEX Laboratory

The APEX Lab mission is to provide modeling and simulation (M&S) support of weapons system
design early in the acquisition process. This is accomplished through several means including
human-in-the-loop simulators, distributed simulation experimentation, and constructive simulation
development. The APEX lab provides modeling and simulation support for all Branches of Service.

About CATI Training Systems

CATI is headquartered in Ozark, AL, and was initially incorporated in 1992 as Carmel
Applied Technologies, Inc. CATI entered the competitive visual system providers
market in 1997 with an OpenGL Silicon Graphics (SGI) based image generator,
X–IG®. CATI Training Systems continues to provide engineering services and
products for government, commercial, and civilian organizations around the
world.
Today, CATI′s image generator solutions and UAS Training devices are all PC–
based. CATI′s image generators are specifically designed around industrystandard
OpenGL, a high-performance graphics Application Programming
Interface (API), and OpenFlight, the 3D standard format for the visual simulation
industry.

The open design of X–IG® and X–Gen®, run on 100% Commercial-Off the
Shelf (COTS) PC–based hardware and software. This allows us to offer high-performance,
versatile capabilities for various types of training, testing, and
experimentation. X-IG® and its suite of associated tools and programs offer
superior image fidelity, realism, and ease of integration with most simulation
systems.
Every system CATI delivers provides unmatched ease of use, open architecture,
COTS tools, and flexible interface options as well as low acquisition, overhead,
and life cycle support costs.
